Diana Milinek
Diana Milinek described as ‘the high priestess of the cult of the simulacra’ has also been called ‘utterly irresponsible… a danger to the young’. She works across a multiplicity of areas in a bewildering array of forms. Sinclair famously described her as ‘some kind of beautiful wraith-mirage created against expectation from filthy waste gasses produced when academia and popular culture spill together’. Milinek currently holds posts at MIIT, Stavinger University and the University of East London teaching a variety of subjects from ‘QVC Cargo Cult’, ‘Body Modification/Disability – your choice’, ‘Deep Funnels of Entry’ to ‘A World Without Cling Films”. Milinek authored two controversial books 1999’s ‘The World According to Sat Nav’ and 2007’s ‘No Fun – What No One Tells You About Sex’. Milinek has hosted club nights at Fabric (London) and, curiously, had a walk on part as herself, in Hollyoaks (1998's "A Wraith in TinselTown" ep 7) . Despite all of this activity Milinek is hard to pin down. Home for the Bewildered feel it entirely appropriate that this spectre of cyberspace should join our organization in the virtual arena only.
